Financial Planner

The Financial Planner is an essential part of the overall client experience.  This role regularly assists in the development and delivery of financial planning services through a comprehensive financial planning approach. In this role, you will have a high degree of direct communication with clients, wealth advisors, client service associates, operations and compliance.  

Everyday activities include:

  • Effectively capture, manage, and facilitate the completion of planning work with an advisor’s direction including gathering, building and summarizing financial planning deliverables using financial planning software. 
  • Analyze asset allocations in conjunction with the stated client investment objectives. 
  • Prepare client account analysis and statements in advance of client meetings.   
  • Assist Advisors in completion of client planning and portfolio analysis including net worth statements, cash flow plans, estate summaries, insurance reviews, retirement analyses and tax planning when necessary. 
  • Interact with Operations, Compliance, client service associates, custodians, or others to resolve client account matters or expedite client requests when appropriate.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a four-year college degree and have at least one year of experience in the financial services industry with a concentration in securities and investment operations. 
  • Possess excellent customer service, communication, and administrative abilities. 
  • Be proactive and able to anticipate the needs of those the role supports. 
  • Have a positive impact on those around you and interact in a polite manner. 
  • Be able to read and connect with people and respond accordingly in varying situations. 
  • Possess strong written and verbal communications skills. 
  • Maintain a high level of organization and have great attention to detail. 
  • Be able to adapt to changing priorities and conditions throughout the day or week all while continuing to respond calmly and maintain performance standards. 
  • Have great time management skills with the ability to structure responsibilities, tasks, and project management while prioritizing and ensuring deadlines are met. 
  • Maintain an energetic and positive attitude with a willingness to learn technical concepts and solve complex problems.
  • CFP® designation strongly preferred


  • Travel may be required at different times during the year and is estimated to be between 10% and 20%.  

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
