Michael Weaver

Michael Weaver is a Principal – Private Equity with the Promus division of Waverly Advisors, joining in November 2025 following Waverly’s acquisition of select Promus business lines.

With the addition of our Promus team, Waverly Advisors gains expanded knowledge in private equity and real estate opportunities. This expansion strengthens Waverly’s platform for ultra-high-net-worth families and institutions, while maintaining Promus’ core values of stewardship, integrity, and long-term relationship focus.

Mike joined Promus under its prior ownership in 2015 and is actively involved in all aspects of the investment process for the firm’s private equity direct investing strategy. This includes sourcing, due diligence, deal execution, and managing and monitoring portfolio companies.

Prior to Promus, Mike worked in the asset management group at Ventas, a leading healthcare real estate investment trust.

Mike earned his B.B.A. in Finance and Economics from the University of Iowa and is a CFA charterholder. He lives in Chicago with his wife Jen and their two sons.
