Jeff joined Waverly Advisors in October of 2024 after Mueller Financial Solutions was acquired by Waverly Advisors, LLC. He serves as a Partner and Wealth Advisor at Waverly. With a robust expertise in financial services, Jeff excels in retirement planning, investment management, estate review, income tax planning and strategy, education planning, generational wealth planning, charitable and family gifting, business succession planning, business transaction advising, and employer-sponsored retirement plans. His commitment to professional excellence is reflected in his active membership with the Colorado Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).
Jeff is deeply passionate about empowering individuals through financial education, helping them understand the nuances between investing and speculating, and crafting personalized financial road maps. His dedication to his clients’ financial well-being is matched by his enthusiasm for community involvement.
Jeff was born in Canon City and attended local schools, graduating from Southern Colorado State College (now Colorado State University – Pueblo) in 1972 with a BS in accounting. After serving on the staff of one of the nation’s “Big 8” CPA firms and supervising an internal audit department for a Fortune 500 company in San Francisco, Jeff returned to Canon City in 1976 forming the firm that ultimately evolved into Mueller & Associates, P. C. In 1992 he met the necessary requirements to become a “Personal Financial Specialist”, a designation available exclusively for CPAs who have exhibited technical competency in the area of financial planning, and who have passed a rigorous examination and met necessary experience requirements. Currently he is one of only 2,500 in the country licensed to do so.
As a guitar-playing worship leader at his church, Jeff brings the same level of dedication and joy to his personal interests. He also enjoys the thrill of riding motorcycles, the challenge of playing golf, and cherishing moments with friends and family.
