Jack Murphy joined Waverly Advisors in November of 2025 as Partner, Wealth Advisor following the acquisition of select Promus business lines by Waverly Advisors, LLC. Jack has more than 30 years of experience in investing, Jack serves as a Partner and Wealth Advisor to multi-family office clients. His areas of expertise include investment management, public equities, alternative investments, and multi-family office advisory service.
Jack’s career in financial services includes roles in U.S. Equity Research at Salomon Brothers, Lehman Brothers, and Credit Suisse. He spent 17 years at William Blair & Company where he worked in several successive roles, including as investment analyst, director of research, and portfolio manager for institutional accounts and mutual funds.
Jack serves on the boards of East Lake Academy, a Catholic elementary school in Lake County, Illinois, and Chicago Youth Programs which serves at-risk youth in Chicago.
Outside of work, Jack enjoys spending time with his wife Janet, their seven children and one granddaughter.
As part of Promus’ partnership with Waverly Advisors, the team brings expanded expertise in private equity, real estate, and Family Office services to the firm. This collaboration strengthens Waverly’s platform for ultra-high-net-worth families while maintaining Promus’ core values of stewardship, integrity, and long-term relationship focus.
