Joe Cheff joined Waverly Advisors in November of 2025 as Senior Trader following the acquisition of select Promus business lines by Waverly Advisors, LLC. Joe brings extensive expertise in trade execution, risk management, reconciliation, and scenario planning, while overseeing the implementation of numerous systematic trading methodologies.
Before joining Promus, Joe was a proprietary fixed-income trader at Goldenberg Hehmeyer. He has traded a wide range of products, including fixed income securities, equity indices, grains, foreign currencies, metals, energies, livestock, and soft commodities such as cotton, cocoa, and coffee.
Earlier in his career, Joe was a member of the Chicago Board of Trade, where he actively traded 30-year bonds and Dow Jones futures.
With the addition of our Promus team, Waverly Advisors gains expanded expertise in Family Office services across traditional and alternative asset classes to the firm. This collaboration strengthens Waverly’s platform for ultra-high-net-worth families while maintaining Promus’ core values of stewardship, integrity, and long-term relationship focus.
