David Fields joined Waverly Advisors in July of 2023 after Gwynn Management Company was acquired by Waverly Advisors, LLC. He serves as a Partner and Wealth Advisor at the firm. David began his career in 1991 working as a Financial Consultant for Shearson Lehman Brothers (later Smith Barney Shearson) in Atlanta, GA. While working on the completion of his M.B.A. program, he joined Gwynn Management Company, managing multi-asset portfolios for high net-worth families and institutions through the use of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, ETFs, REITs and MLPs. David enjoys the satisfaction of knowing that his active involvement in the financial well-being of his clients has a significant impact on achieving their long- and short-term goals and objectives.
He loves outdoor activities such as hiking, paddling and fishing, as well as riding his motorcycle in the North Georgia mountains and areas beyond. As an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan, David is passionate about following and attending college football games, while also supporting the local professional teams in Atlanta; the beloved Braves being his primary interest.
